Hello:
Does anyone know if there are any issues with using a DNS Alias, instead of the SQL server instance name? I'm asking not just about GP but about its integrating apps, as well.
For example, Scribe's instructions on moving its internal database to a new SQL server specifies to use the new SQL Server instance name. No mention is made, as to whether it's okay to use a DNS Alias.
