I ran Receivables Reconcile to GL for April 30, 2016, and I show a difference of $54,082. The GP information and help files state that if my Historical Aged TB (HATB) matches my GL level AR account, all is well; however, I understand that the Total RM Ending Balance below should also tie to my GL and tie to Total GL Ending Balance(?).
What am I missing in my understanding?
What drives the Total RM Ending Balance? I originally thought it was the sub-ledger, which is also reflected on the Historical Aged Trial Balance
I understood:
that GP/Financial/Account/AR Account look-up was what had flowed through to the GL level.
what was reflected on the HATB was what was also in the sub-ledger.
Total RM Ending Balance was what was in the sub and would always tie to the HATB.
Total GL Ending Balance was what was coded to the GL account number but did not necessarily flow through to the GL level and resided at the sub-ledger level.
I desire to see my GL level AR to tie to HATB and to tie to Total GL Ending Balance on the Reconcile to GL process.
