Hello:
In SQL Server 2008 R2 and in our GP 2013 R2 (12.00.1920) environment, we have two "PJOURNAL" jobs. One is called "Remove Posted PJOURNALs From All Companies (DYNAMICS)", while the other is called "Remove Posted PJOURNALs From All Companies".
Why would there be two similar jobs? Is there anything wrong with disabling the latter job?
I noticed that a few of our company databases have a handful of records from years ago, according to the "TRXDATE" field. If a "PJOURNAL" job is supposed to run every thirty minutes, why would there be records in the PJOURNAL table of a GP company database?
I know that a "PJOURNAL" job, by default, writes to the Windows Application Log. But, I'd hate to bother our DBA with having to review that file. That's why I ask, here. :)
Thanks!
John
