Add new custom field in letter assistant

Hi, i want to add new custom field in Letter Assistant, is that possible to do that?

for example, the columns that available in Letter Assistant is Employee ID, First Name, etc, i want to add new column beside the availables, for example additional custom table (Birth Place).

And if possible, can you guys show me how to do that?
