I have been able to use the same serial number for the same inventory item on 2 different PA Inv Trf documents and leave the batch unposted. I found that after I had allocated that serial number on Inv Trf Doc # 1 and I then ran the Inventory reconcile function, it removed the fact that a qty of 1 was allocated and I was then able to use that exact same inventory item and serial number combination on another unposted PA Inv Trf document.
The allocated qty was then 1 but it should have been 2 as I now had 2 different PA Inv Trf documents.
Has anyone come across this? I'm using GP 12.00.1745 (R2). This is causing such havoc in my stock and serial number control. Surely that is a bug as a serial number for an inventory item cannot be duplicated.
